Yay snow! Yay snow before Christmas! Yay snow before Christmas in Delaware because this never really happens!

We had a few snowy days here in Delaware, which is not very common for this time of year. I love the snow, its so pretty, but it can be quite a pain in the a*& too. This past weekend I was in NJ/NYC with some of my girlfriends. We had a great weekend, except for the hour drive from the train station back to Delaware on Sunday turned into a 6 hour drive because it snowed like crazy here in the Philly region. Saw plenty of cars that ran off the road, luckily I was not one of them. And luckily I had my girlfriend with me to keep me entertained for hours as we inched our way home. All that being said, I’m still hoping for a white Christmas!!

Exploring a Fort

Hello Blog World!

I’m in a much better mood these days. I had a great weekend to relax and appreciate my surroundings. Dave and I went to Fort Delaware on Saturday. It’s a state park, home of a fort that was used during the civil war. There is a ferry that takes you over, as the fort is located on an island in the Delaware River. We had a beautiful day to enjoy the ride out there and exploring the park.

Here are some pictures.

Sunday we went to Baltimore to meet my Dad for dinner in Fells Point. It was great to see him! I was a dummy and forgot to snap a few photos.

Daisy and her drivers will likely be heading out eat this coming Sunday, she will be here soon! Reality hasn’t quite set in, but I’m pretty excited!

Happy Earth Day!

Hi,

Hope you are enjoying the earth today. Dave and I went for a run this evening and it started to rain on us as we were running through a trail shaded with trees. When we made it through the trees we were welcomed to a beautiful full rainbow, much appreciated on Earth Day!

This is my first post since making it back from Europe. Probably wondering where or where is my post on Europe huh? Well, I haven’t blogged about Europe yet because I was trying to figure out how to exactly chronicle our awesome adventure. I think I’m going to breakdown posts by each place we were at. I’m also working on all the pictures, we have 700! I’m a freak and like to name each picture, so it’s taking me awhile.

I’m living in Delaware now. It was a little strange to come back from Europe and not have a day to rest before driving back down to VA. It’s great to get to spend so much time with Dave though! It took us a few days to get back to normal from our trip. And then since Monday I’ve been spending my days looking for a job. I’m hopeful and have a few leads. Hopefully once I find a job I will be able to get more acclimated with my new location. I am trying to find some new activities for Dave and I to be involved in because one of the best things about living in the same location is we have our weekends back!

Back to naming pictures otherwise everyone might not believe we actually went!

Big News!

Greetings! Well, I have some excited news to share:

  • I’m moving to Delaware! Dave and I are going to live together 🙂
  • I turned in my notice this week, I’m leaving my job at the end of the month. I don’t have a new job lined up yet, but I have some leads.
  • We are going to Europe for two weeks! We will be traveling to London, France, Belgium, and Amsterdam.
  • All of this is happening in about 3 weeks!!

I’m really excited about everything! I couldn’t think of  better partner in crime than Dave to experience all of this with. It’s a big leap, but life is short, so taking big leaps in life and seeing where you land, might be what’s it’s all about (or is that the hokie pokie?).

Besides packing and booking things for Europe, we are also trying to enjoy some must-do activities in DC before I move. March is going to be a rather busy month!

Hope you are enjoying the spring-like weather!

SNOW!!!

We have at least 14″ of snow so far here in Delaware. Look for pictures to come!

P.S. I’m writing this from my new laptop. I got a Sony Vaio, it’s so awesome!
