Honeymoon Journey: Part 1

The first stop on our honeymoon was Queenstown. The day we arrived, we were pretty warn down from 21 hours of flying, but we strolled the town and found the famous Fergburger. These burgers are huge, but oh so delicious. After a tasty giant burger and a couple beers we were ready to call it a night. We were in bed before 7pm!

Queenstown is a really cool town. While we were in Queenstown we, hiked up Queenstown Hill, went jet boating on the Dart River, saw the Hobbit being filmed, took an all day bus tour on the Milford Road and cruised the Milford Sound. When we had time to hang low it was fun just to stroll around town, check out all the bar’s and cafe’s (Chico’s has really good seafood chowder!) and admire the beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

I loved looking at all the mountains and lakes around Queenstown, Te Anau and the Fiordland National Park. Even on our trip to Milford and being on a bus for 12 hours, the views never got boring. I would love to go back and tramp all the”Great Walks” in that area one day.

Next up Wanaka and the adventure of a lifetime, canyoning!
