Happy New Year! It is already the 3rd day of the new year, but I’ve been unplugged this weekend. Dave came down and we went out for NYE, went to the movies, window-shopped, and mostly tried to stay warm as it was really windy and cold this weekend.
For NYE, we went to McCormick and Schmick’s in DC by the Verizon Center – they were having a pretty awesome NYE meal deal. The food was awesome and then afterwards we walked to Chinatown and rang in the new year with tasty beers at RFD (a bar that serves a ton of beers). We had a blast, it was fun to celebrate in DC.
Here’s a quick recap of 2009:
10,000 day birthday celebration. Inauguration craziness in DC. Dave is getting old, time to celebrate in Vegas. Remembering and celebrating a remarkable woman. Confirmation. Wine Festival with the old roomies. Running, A LOT! Jim Thorpe fun for the 4th of July. California for a wedding and concert (breaking the law in the parking lot). Beach for 60 more years to come. Family gathering to see a beautiful bride in Seattle. Beer fest fun in CO. MCM! These legs can move, 5k PR. VT almost defeated by UD in Philly. Viva la loca in Mexico. Lots of snow! Family time in CA. DC fun for NYE.
I just realized after doing this quick recap that most of my year was spent celebrating, which isn’t a bad way to spend my time. Not only were there birthday and wedding celebrations, but also major accomplishments to celebrate and just life itself. It was a good year! Looking forward to the celebrations of 2010.
